Happy Birthday claus

Growing older is mandatory. However growing up is optional.

You say your life goes by too quickly,
yet you hope to see it end.
You want to change the world,
into history you transcend.

You collect the fading memories
and store them in a box.
I would not, could not Sam I am,
I would not eat them with a fox.

But silly jokes aside,
you have a splendid plan.
To overthrow the parliament,
like Epic Fail Man.

Strike that and reverse it
but that still would make no sense.
God, what am I doing here?
Please don't take offense.

I'm trying to stop this rhyming,
but it seems I'm in a poem.
I guess I'll give it a college try
using my acute wisdom.

Crap, wait the poem's almost done.
I didn't make it clear!
Have the greatest birthday you've ever had
and I'll think of something better next year!
