Plus, it wasn't the kid's mistake in the first place, so why should they pay the price? Everyone deserves a chance at life.

Personally, if it threatens the Mother's life, I believe it is her choice to either spare her life, or the child's. I would tell her that children are the future, of course, but I wouldn't push too hard.

okay now i can see where it gets complicated, it would be the mothers choice and the father would have to stay strong on whatever the option is it wouldn't be fair to kill the kid, but neither would ending your life even if she did **** up.

I think that if it is the Mother's choice, she really needs to think hard about her decision. If the baby was an accident from rape or someone she doesn't love, then it really tips things in a certain direction as opposed to if the baby is a result from someone she truly loves and feels can take care of the child alone.

well if it was from rape then i would agree on an abortion only cause the kid would eventually suffer from the mother treating him/her like **** at times and would not like to see him/her without reminding her of the tragic event*unless she enjoyed it:P* now if its about love thats when she should really think about her descision it wouldnt be right to kill the baby for there mistake.

But you have to realize, not everyone raped is a bad person. They can still love and care for their kid.

For example, Amanda was an accident in my life, but I loved her more than anything because she was my kid, accident or not. I can only imagine how Amy felt after losing our daughter, because Mothers have a deep special connection that no one understands. It's similar to the connections between twins.

accident i can understand but like i said there are people who could care less and would get an abortion cause they want to continue there lives with no worries about a kid, and that connection you mentioned as much as you love your son/daughter looking at his/her face and remebering what happen wouldnt be easy for the mother and the kid would feel bad, so it wouldnt be right for the kid to suffer either.

What I was getting at was the fact that we both still loved Amanda, and wanted her to have an amazing life, even though it was an accident.

Children born of rape are obviously accidents as well, and that's why I connected the two examples.

Okay, this is where it gets confusing though. I had a girlfriend who got drunk and had sex with another dude, but told me it was rape. I reported it, and she told the cops that she regretted it, and that was all.

If there was no saying no, and it wasn't forced, is it still rape?
