Ok, first off... I HATE ALL OF THEM FROM I - XIV (1-14)
BUT, there are two games I've come across not directly related to those games. By that I mean theres no specific number with it (EX: FF:X or FF:III)
Dissidia: Final Fantasy
And
Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core
BREAKDOWN:
Dissidia
This is definatly a different direction with FF games, the combat system is awkward and the controls take a little while to memorize and get used to. Seeing the main characters and Villans from every game duke it out is interesting. Over all this game is barable.
Crisis Core
This one aswell takes a different direction with FF games but not as much as Dissidia. The battle system here is similar to the .DotHack// games if any of you know of them (7 in all). This game takes place before FF:VII and explains Cloud's Buster Sword and many other questions from FF:XII. My main complaint is this: there is a story and in the story you can choose to do side missions for extra exp and items and whatnot, the problem is this... THE GAME HAS 300 FUCKING SIDE MISSIONS! Anyway, I think I can say I enjoyed this game. Probably the only FF game I can say I truely like.
