{The sun shone brightly through the window. Outside, the streets were dry and there was a lack of clouds in the sky. The downpour must have ended for now, and the peace and dryness seemed quite relaxing. Of course I didn't really care too much. Without much to do, I spent most the day in my bed. It was 4 PM when I woke up to the sound of someone entering the house.}

Yeah, it stopped raining, and yes I woke up at 4 PM today due to not having internet.

It had a light shower, I think... the newspaper was a bit wet when I retrieved it. But I'm glad that the rain has stopped, so does this mean the rain has traveled east?

you never know. you might get lucky and a truck filled with liquid nitrogen mite tip over and brake a fire hydrant shooting water into the air which will freeze.
