Your room

What is your room like? Are you a neat freak, or is it messy? Perhaps it's half and half where some parts is left untouched and some parts are messy?

What does your room consist of? Does everyone have a desk, a chair, a computer, a bed, a bookshelf (or two), a night stand, a lamp, and maybe a TV with a game console (or two)?

When you walk into my room, there is an exit sign right above the doorway (I stole it). Across from the door is my window that sits directly to the left o my bed that lays aginst the wall. On the wall behind my bed is a few posters of anime shows (Appleseed) And then to the left of my bed is a my Dresser, and Television that I rarely watch. To the left of the dresser is my closet door; Permanently open with a wall-scroll taped to it's top-half. On the bottom half is a bookshelf with all of the novels I've gotten over my lifetime along with Photo albums, and knick-knacks. Inside the closet is where my Guitar and dress-clothes are. There is a small area between my Closet and Doorway where a second Bookshelf is, holding all of my issues of Shonen Jump. To the Right of my Doorway is a large bookshelf holding about 200+ Manga along with my Radio on top, and my Home phone on it's top shelf. Beyond that and in the corner of my room, across from my bed (About 2 feet of space) Is my desk, with a shelf right above it holding some trophies and memorobilia. Above my Bed is another shelf with my Dad's Highschool Football.

In other news. My room is average. Its clean but there's hints of unorderlyness scattered in various places.

Haha, lmao, it sounds pretty neat and organized by the way he described it tho ;D I have yet to move back into my room, but right now, the living room has been completely conquered by me. ^___^

Reminds me of when I had to move all of my furniture out of my room; we are painting the walls a different color and moving into hardwood floors. The carpet was a beautiful white, but the area that my shit was on, it became a muddy white. Yet, I was not shock =w=;;

I wiped all the dust off of everything before discarding it into the floor.

clean, polished, made is shine, then in the floor.... I am going to clean up a bit.

Hm...Usually it's clean, but after about a month or so it'll start getting messy.

On the left is my bed (which is a couch that turns completely into a bed and is kickass), a small drawer next to the bed that has spare clothes, and to the right is my entertainment center that has my games and miscellaneous items, a large dresser that holds my currently clothes, and right in the end of the room there is a practice drum kit that I don't like using.

I don't think anyone here can beat how my brother's room used to be. Literally there was no floor, only thrown around clothes and breakable items, leftover food that's been sitting around for days was everywhere, cans and dishes were collected there, and there were 6 bags of garbage that nearly blocked the door. Basically it was like he thought his room was the only room in the house and after taking something from outside his room, he didn't know that he's supposed to put it back.

Wow, I can't tell if it's a fail on his part or the parent's part. I'm gonna be nice and refrain myself because no one wants to hear a bitching about their mother.

It's my brothers. My parents constantly told him to clean his mess up, and I don't want to get started on the times when my mom had to enter his room. My brother is just a huge ass procrastinator and lazy ass when it comes to real life things.

Half messy, half clean.

Yet, what caused this habit to emerged like that? Why was it not stopped when it was still at its earliest stage? If you mom had done her job, she wouldn't have had to do enter his room. It's all in the teachings, and I can't fully blame your mom, but your family looks like the type where the mom does all the shit when it comes to the typical "woman" job. Your dad cover his appearance with the newspaper in the morning while breakfast sat in front of him.

It is not completely your brother's fault, but it's also not completely your mother's fault in how things turned out.

Well, my brother basically became a hermit once he got his own computer about 2-3 years ago. He always locked his door and basically if it weren't for the fact the food is in the kitchen and the bathroom is in the hall, he wouldn't leave his room ever. It was like for him those were the only rooms in the house that mattered.

My parents made him agree that when he got his own computer he would keep his room clean and such, but instead he just threw everything on the floor. He still does mostly nowadays. From the way I see it, his girlfriend is the only other person in the house he actually gives a damn about. He treats me like dirt and he almost doesn't get along with my parents very well, but the moment he's with her he'll be all upbeat and happy.


And about my mom, actually if she's the one doing all the work, she'll tell other people to do things to. We do our own dishes and for the most part our own laundry, she'll assign us chores when she's not home but we are, and usually we handle some of the tough stuff. Around the house the workload is balanced.

My dad usually has to take off early so he gets ready, makes himself a sandwich, and goes right out the door. He's usually working a lot, too. Both my parents have jobs, and they both work hard.
