Arrest in fatal stabbing in Concord

(03-11) 19:14 PST CONCORD -- Concord on Thursday recorded its first homicide of the year when one man stabbed another in broad daylight in a residential area.

The incident occurred after 10 a.m. on the 3500 block of Concord Boulevard. Police say Oakland resident James Edward Griffin, 41, stabbed Robert Shaner, 43, after an argument.

Shaner had spent the night at the home of his estranged wife, police say, and Griffin is a friend of the wife who arrived there this morning.

Shaner was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead. Griffin, who was driving away from the scene when police arrived, was arrested on suspicion of murder.

Dictionary.com says estranged means:

1. to turn away in feeling or affection; make unfriendly or hostile; alienate the affections of: Their quarrel estranged the two friends.
2. to remove to or keep at a distance: The necessity for traveling on business has estranged him from his family.
3. to divert from the original use or possessor.

So, what was Shaner doing in his estranged wife's house, and Griffin is not only suspicious of murder, but someone closer than a friend to Shaner's wife. Relationships, they're so complicated... why do people have to make more work for themselves more than they should? Then of course, any emotions and sins can lead to death. We are such a self-destructive race... how they hell do we outlive everything else?!

I don't believe it because a lot of people are heading down towards their death with obesity, leading to quite a bit of health problems such as heart failure, high blood pressure, and whatever else studies has shown.

If it was the Chinese, maybe... but a lot of them are also obese too... fast food has taken a troll to everyone's health.

With advances in medicinal science that can be fixed. Just a mater of time.
