PS3 is finally getting 3D, and 360 didn't even get bluray yet.

Couldn't care less about 3D, I'd just like to enjoy the game without battering my eyes out via explosions emitting from the screen.

fan-boys are generally worse than 360 players. and not all of us are millionaires who can afford both a Ps3 and an HD TV for blue ray. I have never seen an HDTV with HD things on it.

What do you need all this HD stuff for anyway? Are you sitting 18 inches from the screen the whole time you play or something?

Only thing I see worth enhancing the experience of any game is surround sound and a set up that supports it (unlike my stereo speakers which I rarely notice a sense of left or right from as I listen in most things).

Actually Xovos, I don't even see a point in surround sound. I mean if you've tons of money you're not using for bills, food, etc, go ahead and get it. I just don't feel like hearing an explosion in my left ear when the tv is infront of me.

what about surround sound AND a 360° TV?

Don't see a point in it.

a broader view of the land scape, just everywhere you turn your head, as fast as you want without the joy stick getting in the way so the enemy sniper standing on you doesn't stab you in the back when you never knew they were there.

would really only be good for FPSs though.

I was thinking something more like:

Without surround-
I hear foot steps, but I'm not sure where they are coming from. I have to turn and search the area thoroughly to figure out where it is.

With surround-
I hear someone running behind me and the sound is getting steadily louder, someone is running towards me. I should turn around and see if it's friend or foe.


I myself have never even seen a surround sound set up, but I have ended up in multiple situations where it'd helped me should I had it at the time. Which is usually about three or four seconds before I fall dead with a dagger thrown into my side.


Also, Azure going off topic along with us kinda makes a point about how little care we have for this 3D thing.
