A cry in The Jungle

(my Far Cry 2 sandbox RP)

Alright, so the short version, you're a mercenary in a fictional modern-day Central African nation in a state of anarchy and civil war.

Now, I said it's sandbox-ish because there isnt supposed to be a real storyline.
But yeah, there are two factions, the United Front for Liberation and Labour (UFLL, led by Addi Mbantuwe, a former opposition leader) and the Alliance for Popular Resistance (APR, led by Oliver Tambossa, Chief of Staff for the former government)



You, as a Merc, will take on different missions.
Working for UFLL, APR, and numerous others. Like resistance groups and all that stuff.
Doing missions for a certain group will get you in better with them, yadda yadda, and doing stuff against them.... you get the picture.
Although you dont always have to do missions, there will also be lots of free roam.

Buddy System
You can add other players as buddies. So you know their location at most times. This allows you to call them for backup, transport, and all that stuff.

--Commencing--

A helicopter flew high over the ocean. Inside it, were a group of Mercenaries. A group of 7. Beside the helicopter was another, also containing 7 mercs. The whole lot of them were going to some location in Central Africa, where it had become a warzone where they could make good money. None of them cared about whatever the hell was going on down there, they just wanted the money. Whoever dies dies. Some aboard the 'copters were good friends. None of that really mattered out in the battlefield....

Scott
Toward the back of the large helicopter was Scott F. Kilpatrick. He was half asleep until he heard the yell: "FIVE MINUTES TILL LANDING". That made him stand up. Tired, but ready for action. He looked to his left and saw his friend Kevin Post. Ahead of him, another of his friends. He hadn't said his real name, only wanting to be referred to as 'Blaze'.
Scott sighed, and awaited landing.

Blaze
Blaze had been alert the entire flight. When the yell over the comm said "FIVE MINUTES TILL LANDING", he barely moved. He'd been trained not to jump at anything. He noticed scott glance toward him, but thought nothing of it. All he wanted to do was get off the damn 'copter

Kevin
Kevin wanted off. He'd been in this damned Helicopter for over an hour. When he heard "FIVE MINUTES TO LANDING", he was possibly the most excited one there. He saw his friend Scott glance in his direction, but he was too excited to say hello. All that mattered now was getting off the copter, and back on solid ground.

"you guys ready?" asked Blaze.

Scott was checking his pistol at the moment. As soon as Blaze had said: "You guys ready?", he had pulled the trigger on his gun. Lucky for him, the safety was on. He jumped, then turned to Blaze. "I should be fine. Just getting my gear ready"

YESYESYESYESYES He thought, trying not to look too excited. FINALLY He looked sideways at Blaze as he said something. Kevin opened his mouth to say something, but decided he was too excited to speak. He mumbled a soft "Sure" and looked back at Scott, who was readying himself.

"Scott you better get the gun set, rather than leave it on safety, we can't afford a loss." said Blaze

Scott clicked off the safety on his Beretta M 1934 pistol and checked the safety on his Remington 870 Shotgun. It was off. He turned to Blaze, went to say something, but was cut off by a message over the comm: "1 MINUTE TILL LANDING".
He put his pistol in his holster, and strapped his shotgun to his back. He nodded to Blaze, then turned to Kevin. "Ready?"

Kevin jumped of excitement a bit as he heard the message. He heard Scott say something and nodded quickly in respond. He checked for both his M9 pistols but only picked one up and grasped it tightly.

Scott also grabbed a Combat Knife, in case he ran into the local wildlife.
"30 SECONDS TILL LANDING! Good luck out there"
Eagerly, Scott grinned, and prepared to hop out.

Kevin checked for his Swiss Army Knife, and Smiled slightly as he heard the message. He also prepared himself to jump out.

"Guys do we even know how were gonna do this?"asked Blaze
"is there a plan i should know about?"
OOC: sorry has to go do stuff and then eat.

"Our BMessenger should have a mini map on it. Our current objectives are marked with a glowing dot."
Scott says, as the helicopter lands.

"this should'nt be to hard" said Blaze as he smiled.

When the plane lands, Kevin is the first one out. He looks around and waits for Blaze and Scott.

Scott hops out of the Helicopter.
Everyones BMessenger opens a mini-map and shows a glowing dot in the middle of a town.
The town isn't too far away.
"Alright then. Kevin, Blaze, make sure we have each other on our BMessengers."

Blaze taps Kevin on the back and asks" so you ready for this or you gonna give me another answer i can't here?" as he laughs.
"Scott chill i've been on the battlefield since i was little!"says Blaze

Karlos walks out from the end of the helicopter looking around at the African sun, "Woah, so this is Africa huh?" He then trips on a rock when he gets out, cutting his face. "Damn, hurt already," he says as he laughs while he gets up.

"someone has a positive look on things!" says Blaze as he laughs.

Scott noticed someone trip behind him.
"...Try not to do that too often, eh?"
He says, chuckling slightly.
"Anyway, time to head off toward the village."

Kevin turns to Blaze as he was tapped. "Bleh, Ask Scott." He mumbled. He turns to Karlos, but didn't pay too much attention to him. He looked at Scott and said, "Yeah, Alright.."

Karlos quickly twitches his ears as he checks his BMessenger, "Man, that helicopter ride was a little too long wasn't it?" he says, making sure his pistol was still in his holster. "Alright, pistol's there," he pauses reaching for his sub-machine gun on his back, "crap, where's my MP5?" He turns around, searching where he fell. He quickly turns around, noticing it hanging from his neck. "Man, stupid helicopter." He mumbles looking embarrassed.

Nearby, there are a few jeeps. No doubt left for the mercenaries.
Scott runs towards one, and notices the door isnt locked, the gas is full, and the keys are already in the ignition.

"Seems a little too convenient, huh?"
He chuckles.

Karlos quickly follows Scott, but checks out another jeep, he stares at it intensely look mainly at the radio, "Man, no good stations eh?" he sourly gets into the driver seat and checks his gloves for dirt, "hope I can still drive" he starts the car, his laughter drowned out in the car engine.

Kevin smiled slightly at the sight of the jeeps. He mumbled something an walked toward Scott's. "mind if I jump in with you?" "I've always hated driving."

Blaze gets on the other jeep.
"your afraid of drving one of these Kevin?"asked Blaze as he smirked
