| Hmm, well, they're still a bit too pillowshaded. You should try fixing that a little. You dont want your kraken looking like a pillow! | |

| Pillow, eh? I figured that'd create a scaly effect, not a pillowy one. | |

| Haha well I guess I should ^^ I used to sprite alot but I dont do it all that much nowadays even though I have had this certain project going on for guita while by now. I'll try to see if I'll be able to post a completeish gallery this weekend. I been looking at my old sprite folder, it seems like my main work folder has disappeared, wich makes me sort of sad for LOTS of stuff that that were on that file are and were ONLY in that file, wich is truly a shame it had dozens of sprites saved only in that very bitmap.
And yes, pillowy. I suggest you first shade it without any odd complications, just basic highlights and shadows, as non pillow shaded as possible. Then try making what looks like scaled, by expanding the shadows in a scaly pattern or something of the sorts... what a high quality explonation D:
Also, never use completely non-black outlines, its just a bad idea most of the time. However, it is always a very good touch not having completely black outlines either! Instead, start with black, but then recolor some of them some a little lighter color in the area of where the so called "light-point" is coming from. I suggest you take a look at some pokemon sprites, zooming to them in Paint, for they are the most perfect example of this style mentioned. | |

| Forgive me, SCK, but I had inspiration, and I had to work, and I could not think too clearly about your advice during the working period...about 7 or 8 hours, nonstop (if you don't count sleeping the night away) was put into this, literally from the drawing board to the Photobucket: NEW: Giantess: Rabi~en~RoseInspired from a drawing by one of my heroes of the artistic fashion. As much as I'd love to show you the drawing, I'm afraid the forum rules prohibit it. (However, if you should locate the imageboard it came from, it's image #968gone. Recommended age, 16.5+ due to portrayal of particular substances.) (See also: http://www.mediafire.com/file/hzzb4md2yu5/Rolling_Ten-Ton_Dice)--------------------------------------- Next up: | |
