You Know You're the Hero of an Action Adventure When...

Just for the lulz, here's a list of ways you know you're the hero of an action adventure game. Feel free to add on any good ideas you may have.

1. You were woken up by a fairy this morning that quickly got on your nerves.

2. You were given a wooden sword to train with.

2+ Until you got that wooden sword, you never knew how to fight. You also can't block with it.

3. Random woodland creatures try to kill you all the time.

4. You live in a village outside of any major cities or regions.

5. People seem to ask you and only you for help everywhere you go, even if you're a complete stranger.

6. Instead of finding a job to get money, you cut down every plant you see because money and weapons are scattered everywhere.

7. Like your sword, your shield is also made of wood. Somehow, neither of them can break.

8. When injured, you gorge every fruit around you until your wounds magically recover.

9. One of your major sword techniques is spinning in a circle with the sword out.

10. Talking to people repeatedly will result in them saying the exact same thing.

11. Every other town you go to has more expensive prices for the same things than the last town.

12. For some unknown reason you don't ever take weapons from your defeated foes, even if they have better gear.

12+ On that same note, usually you can't because your foe disappears in thin air or explodes.

13. Animals and random troublemakers drop money or useful items when defeated.

14. You don't wear armor, you wear different color clothes that somehow protect you better.

15. You constantly find yourself getting involved with things involving fairies.

16. Your home village gets destroyed or you get exiled for some reason you have no idea why.

17. Monsters never kill the people who get kidnapped or disappear in caves since the people are always perfectly fine when you reach them, regardless of how many days they've been there without food or water.

I'm played some games that rip off this formula, but then those are practically Zelda clones.
