Adventure Game Style RP

I was wondering if anyone would be interested in an adventure game style RP. It would be done in the style of an old school text adventure. If you need an example here is one.

The room is about 15x20 feet. The walls are painted red and there are doors on the right hand side. On the left there is a large window with a view outside. Sunlight pours into the window and lights up a spot on the floor where a kitten is sleeping. Near the sunlight there is a piano with a stool, a table in the middle of the room with an M1911 pistol on it with some spare ammunition, 4 chairs to accommodate the table, and a picture on the left hanging over a small cabinet display of fine wines.

Here are some of the actions you can perform

Examine
Use
Open
Take
Jump
Pet
Pick Up

Here are some objects you can interact with.

Wine Display
Picture
Piano
Piano Stool
Kitten
Window

Basically, to do things, you just put the action and the object. Here are some examples:

Use the Piano
You press the different keys on the piano, but no sound is made.

Examine the Gun
An M1911 handgun. From the looks of it, this one was used in World War II. It seems a bit rusted.

Pet the Kitten
You pet the kitten. It moves and a smile goes across its face as it purrs calmly.


To do some tasks, you may need to do more than one action. For example, getting a bottle of wine.

Open the Wine Display
You open up the Wine Display. All the fine labels are clear and visible. Some of these date back to the early 1900s.

Player: Use the Piano
GM: You press the different keys on the piano, but no sound is made.

Meaning, the result is not produced by the players.
Reminds me of D&D a bit, and I really like the idea ;3

Yeah, something like that. It's like the old school Adventure Games where you insert commands and your character does something with the object they're interacting with.

Alright, I'll see about writing it up. Typing is faster than writing, so it'll take a while.

Lol, oops. Not, but I did play a horror D&D back in the day once. It wasn't bad ;3

Resident Evil 4 is ACTION Horror in my opinion. The tons of ammo and such made it an action game based around horror. The old ones scare you with a lack of ammo, tough camera angles, tank controls, and the panic from being in a place with devious puzzles and something dangerous possibly around the corner out of sight.

But on topic, yeah Rob, it'll kinda play like that, but you have preset characters.

I can't play any of the other RE games. RE: 0 was the worse, lack of ammos is an understatement for that game.
Personally, I can't play those games and would prefer watching someone else play it ^__^ Lol, it's what a boyfriend is for~ and people wonder why they are all gamers
