"You know, you could be solving puzzles instead of trying to make me chew on the gun's clip. IT'S NOT HAPPENING."












{For Amy}

Amy "Uh, why are you threatening to curse me?"

Rachel "Because you're living soul is interrupting the flow of energy in this mansion. Only the dead belong here, and you are most certainly not dead. Now I'll give you one last chance to put the painting back."

-go to where the ugly thing came from while shaking clip-

{For Terry}

{PUTTING THE CLIP BACK IN THE GUN AND PUTTING THE GUN AWAY, I walk into the depths of where the beast came from. Soon I start to see sunlight ahead of me in a large circular shape. It's probably about 50 feet away.}

"At least this cave doesn't go on and on."

[Question her]

One last question, if I do what you say, will you tell me how to get out of here?

-go into the light from the long dark tunnel-

{For Terry}

{After reaching the end of the tunnel, I step out into the bright light. My eyes take a moment to adjust to the new lighting, and I find myself standing in front of a pier town. There are boats about 50 yards away from me and there are buildings to the left and right. Up in the mountains to the right, a large mansion with a red roof and two flags on each side is visible.}

Terry "Wow, the tropical theme is suddenly gone. It's like I'm on a different island!"

{Looking left and right, there are a few people dressed in street clothes walking around. No one seems to notice me.}











{For Amy}

Rachel "You ask too many questions!"

{Strangely, the girl suddenly bursts into tears and falls on her knees, sobbing.}

[To Asakura]

Amy "Uh...am I to blame for this?"

[To Rachel]

Amy "What's wrong?"

{The girl stops sniffing for a second and looks up at me.}

Rachel "I can't really curse you! You ruined my painting and now it's too late! The image is stuck there forever!"

{I walk up to the painting and put it back in the shade of the closet and, big surprise, the image IS stuck there. It doesn't erase. Just as I turn around, suddenly a large black and red demon with AWESOME horns that curve inward appears behind Rachel}

Demon "You've wasted a painting the devil had given you. You are now coming with me back to Hell."

{Suddenly, Rachel rapidly ages and turns to ashes in 4 seconds. The demon then collects the ashes and sinks into the ground in a blazing explosion. Moments later, the room is back to normal, no trace of Rachel or the demon being here.}

Amy "Wow, something tells me stalling was probably a good thing if she got that portrait from the devil. Good job!"

{Suddenly, a door appears on the right that wasn't there before. At the same time it appears, the door that was across from where I entered is now gone}

-throw rock-

{For Terry}

{Randomly I throw the rock towards the town. Soon a woman who looks like some kind of police officer appears}

Officer "Is this your rock?"

Terry "Uh...yes."

Officer "We have a penalty for throwing objects at the town. Come to the Police Station in 10 minutes. It's right over there near the boats. You're in trouble, kid."

{Quickly she puts some small button on my right shoulder that starts beeping and she walks away}

Terry "Wow, that kinda sucks."

[curse in your head and go to the station]

{For Terry}

[At the Police Station]

{The officer who put the thing on me is talking to someone behind a reception desk. Soon she walks up to me}

Officer "This is the guy."
Receptionist "Alright son, fill out your name."

{Signing the document, they look like something is wrong. Probably the lack of a last name, but they don't care. I'm brought to a cell and locked in it.}

Officer "You'll be released in 5 hours."

{Crap. First arrest in my life. Dad'll probably kill me and Mom will hug me very tightly.}

Male Voice "So you're just in here for throwing a rock? Wow, what a pathetic town."

{Startled slightly by the voice behind me, I turn around and see an anthropomorphic fox with orange fur wearing Medieval style clothes sitting in th ecorner. It looks like it's probably 4 inches shorter than me and is smiling.}

Terry "Uh, yo. Are you my cellmate?"
Fox "No I am not. I'm actually part of a rebellion against this town. It's corrupt and led by a powerful dictator that lives in that mansion on the mountains. I take it you aren't from around here?"
Terry "No I'm not."
Fox "I thought so. Only people native to this island that aren't tribal are affected by the pollution secretly being released in the jungles. Your voice isn't raspy enough."

{Confused, I think about it for a moment and look at him}

Terry "So if you aren't my cellmate, what are you then?"
Fox "Your savior. I can get you out of here. This cell is for people who disobey the law, and chances are if you disobeyed the law here, you did something that officer didn't like. She doesn't care what you do, she'll lock you away if she feels like it. If you want to escape, just tell me. If you'd rather waste your time here, go ahead."

[Talk to him to leave]
[Holler that there's an intruder]
[Refuse]
[Say nothing]

{For Terry}

Fox "Alright, lad. Stand back."

{I back away to the point where I'm touching the cell bars and the fox's hands begin to glow pure white. Soon the bricks on the wall move away and form into a neat pile so there is a clear opening.}

Fox "This way."

{I follow the fox and step out into the sunlight.}

Fox "Here, put these on."

{The fox hands me a pair of sunglasses that have large square lenses that you can't see what's behind it if you're looking at them. I put them on and see that there is a black sky in the air. Removing them, I see a bright blue sky, but wearing them the air is full of pollution.}

Fox "These glasses let you see the truth. Don't lose them. Also, here."

{Reaching into his pocket, the fox hands me...No way, a loaded clip for my Glock!}

Fox "I know you don't know, but the jungle is full of magic. That's why your gun ran out of ammunition. When you reach the mountains, it will have it's infinite capabilities again if you have at least one bullet left. Now I've helped you enough, you must be careful."

{The fox runs to the water and dives in.}

Terry "Alright, things are getting interesting."

{Stepping back into the main street, I see a barber shop, a candy store, a food market, and somebody on the corner wearing a pair of sunglasses and a double breasted trench coat. To the left there is a road with a booth in front of it. It looks like it leads to the mountains}

{For Amy}

{Picking up the painting, for some reason it is no longer heavy! I pocket that mofo somehow and go to the door on the right. Opening it up, I see a completely destroyed room that is dark blue and beaten, cracks in the walls and everything. There is a staircase on the right hand side, and if you pass the stairs up there's a hall.}

[go to candy store]

{For Terry}

{I walk into the candy store and I'm instantly impressed. Just entering the door to the bland pale blue building, a slew of colors appear in front of me. All around me there are candies of almost every variety and type. Instantly my eyes home in on the mini jawbreakers. A man behind the counter wearing a black coat with bandages covering his stomach and an orange hakama smiles.}

Store Owner "You like those too? Nice. You don't look like you're around here."

Terry "No, I'm not. Kinda stranded, actually."

Store Owner "You are? What's wrong?"

Terry "If you know anyone who can fix a space fighter ship from the future that'd be swell."

Store Owner "Okay, maybe that's a little too much. But if you need to use a phone line that reaches off the island the guy in the mansion has one."

Terry "Alright, thanks."

{Putting on the sunglasses, I scan the candy and see that everything is normal. Soon, the Candy Store Owner notices and pulls out the exact same glasses.}

Store Owner "You've met Mrifph (Pronounced "riff" with an M behind it, so it's more like "Mriff") the Fox? Alright, be careful. I wouldn't show those sunglasses to everyone."

{The store owner tosses me a bag of the mini jawbreakers and smiles}

Store Owner "It's on the house. Good luck, kid."

Terry "Thank you."

{I step out of the store and back on the main street.}

[Examines the hallway, walk into it, examine the first room]

{For Amy}

{I walk to the hall and look around. I hear the floorboards creaking underneath me with each step. Cautiously I keep walking. Soon I see a crack in the floor.}

Amy "Hah! I'm not stupid enough to step on that!...am I?"

{It doesn't look too big, I could probably jump over it. Or I could try walking over it, but I dunno.}

[go to ask for phone]

{For Terry}

Terry "Uh, do you want me to try and get past the booth guard?"

{For Terry}

Terry "Okay..."

{Walking up to the booth, immediately the guard pulls out a megaphone}

Booth person "OFFICER! THE YOUNG MALE HAS ESCAPED!"

{Quickly the Officer from earlier appears and instantly apprehends me}

Officer "You thought you could get away, punk? Not on my watch."

{Great, this bloody sucks. They lock me in a Solitary Confinement cell and Mrifph isn't there to spring me out. I'm released 6 hours later. This wouldn't be so bad if it didn't affect me later...

Later I was assigned a task and I needed to complete it before midnight, but it was too late. It was impossible to complete my quest, and now I'm probably stranded here...}

{For Amy}

{Putting on my claw, I carefully poke and scratch at the hole with the blades. I don't get a reaction from it, and when I scratch the floorboards the scratch marks disappear after a second.}

Amy "I assume that's to keep the frame rate high?"
